The Organizing Committee of the 15th International Marathon “Alexander The Great”- bwin, considering the situation of COVID-19 virus, announces a new date for the race on 6th and 7th of June 2020.

Given the effort we all make, both individually and in groups, to implement the measures of the Ministry of Health in order to limit the spread of the virus and given the improved weather conditions during this season, the organizers continue the preparations in order the upcoming “Marathon of History” to meet everyone’s expectation and to give to the city, our country and mostly our participant runners the happiness that all of us need.

The group registration deadline is on Wednesday, May 13th 2020 and the individual registration deadline is on Friday, May 15th 2020.

The 15th International Marathon “Alexander The Great”– bwin, which is dedicated to the Greek marathon runner Stelios Kyriakidis, is organized by MEAS TRIOTON with the institutional cooperation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, under the aegis of Hellenic National Commission of UNESCO, Hellenic Olympic Committee and General Secretariat of Sports and constitute official member of AIMS. Furthermore, it is conducted with the kind support of the Greek National Tourism Organization, Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, SEGAS and EAS SEGAS. In the same time, it is supported by the Ministry of Interior (Macedonia-Thrace), the Region of Central Macedonia, the Municipalities of Pella, Ampelokipi – Menemeni, Chalkidona, Delta and Kordelio – Evosmos, as well as by lots of Institutional and Voluntary Bodies.
